Good, easy break in, but I don't have fat cankles March 19, 2018

Nice boot, the leather is soft and easy to break in.  Compared to other work boots it's only a matter of days instead of weeks to break in.  The 4E with steel toe really has room for my wide toes.

The top part of the boot seems to be designed for someone with really fat cankles.  The laces are a full 2 feet too long for me.  When the boots are laced the top part of the boot is fully closed, almost overlapping, and the tongue is hard to adjust since it is too wide when laced.

I have 4E toes, but my ankles and calves are normal.

I bought two sizes, one for winter (for extra socks) 1/2 size too large and one for summer at the correct size.

After making new laces that are the correct length, I'm OK, but just.  I might need an ankle band to expand the circumference of my cankle once they stretch after wearing for a month.

My first order with this company. I have purchased this item elsewhere. Price with XL was better. Pleased with the quick shipping.
