How do I return an item?

Free Shipping:

So long as the order total remains above $119.00, free shipping applies. In the event of a return where the amount of the credit drops the order total below $119.00, free shipping no longer applies, and a deduction of $20.00 will be applied to offset the cost of round trip shipping. This deduction will be offset with a corresponding store credit of $20.00 For example: an order is placed for a pair of $200.00 boots, and they are returned to us for a refund. While the boots initially qualified for free shipping, once they are refunded, the order total would drop to 0.00 and no longer qualify for free shipping. The refund would be issued in the amount of $180.00 with a corresponding store credit of $20.00 for use on any future purchase.

If the customer pays to ship back the item(s), then there would only be a deduction of $10 from the refund with a $10 store credit to offset the deduction. This helps to cover the initial shipping to the customer.

Prepaid Shipping Labels
XLfeet only provides return shipping labels for orders with a total of $70 or more. Customers are responsible for all shipping on orders of $69.99 or less.

Refund/Return Policy:

It's Simple; keep your item(s) in new condition, and we will allow you to return the item(s) for refund or exchange inside of 60 days from the date of purchase. Items returned outside of the 60 day period will be refunded in the form of XLfeet store credit.

Socks returned with opened packaging or broken stickers/packaging will NOT be refunded. Socks that have been tried on cannot be accepted for returns. No person wants to pay for a pair of socks that have been on a stranger's foot.

The key is that Items must be in "new, unaltered and unused condition". Definition of new, unaltered and unused condition is without showing signs of wear or damage in any way.

Original Packaging
Items must be in original packaging. No exceptions. Do not discard the manufacturer's packaging until you are 100% sure you want to keep the item. The manufacturer's packaging my be not have shipping labels directly attached, and arrive inside a separate shipping box. If manufacturers packagiing is ruined by shipping labels, the item will be refused.

Return Shipping Charges

Our goal is to get you into a pair that fits. If an item is returned for an exchange, return shipping will not be charged (pull-on boots not included). We only charge for return shipping when an item is returned for refund for orders shipped within the 48 Contiguous United States.

  • Exchanges for orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, and outside the USA require the customer to pay for shipping.
  • Pull-On or Slip-on Wellington Boots are not eligible for free shipping regardless of return for refund or exchange.
  • Shipping is non-refundable.

Return shipping labels can be provided to ease in the return process with some items, but the cost of the return shipments is still deducted from returns when items are returned for refund. Again, our goal is to get you into a pair of shoes that fit, and we pay for return shipping on exchanges only. We used to ship items with return labels provided, but too many people abused this and sent back muddy footwear with the expectation of a full refund.

How Do I avoid shipping Charges?

We always give the option to take store credit in full (expedited shipping not included), instead of a having return shipping deducted from your refund. This enables our customers to pick a different item(s) without paying for return shipping. Some people exchange for a weeks worth of socks, and others save their store credit for future purchases.

Defective or Damaged Items

If an item is received damaged or is incorrectly shipped by us please contact Customer Care immediately. Items that are defective and shipped from us or our suppliers qualify for store credit, a cash refund, or an exchange.

If an item is returned to XLfeet and is not in new or unaltered condition, no refund or credit will be issued, and the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping if they wish to keep the item. We are a small business, and since we do not ship used footwear to you, please extend the same courtesy to us.


Refunds are contingent upon inspection of item(s) once we receive it(them).

Refunds are issued for the value of the item less shipping charges.
